Cookies

We keep this simple. There are two kinds of cookie on this site.

Essential

One small preference that remembers which cookie choice you made, so we do not ask you again on every page. This one is always on because the site cannot remember your answer without it.

Analytics, only if you say yes

If you accept analytics, we load Microsoft Clarity. It shows us which parts of a page people click and how far down they scroll, so we can see what is working and fix what is not. Clarity sets two cookies, _clck and _clsk, to tell one visit apart from the next.

Clarity is run by Microsoft, and their privacy statement covers what they do with it. We use it to improve the site, nothing else. We do not sell your data, and Clarity is never used for advertising.

Advertising, only if you say yes

We run ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you accept advertising cookies, we load the Meta pixel, which tells us that someone who clicked one of our ads reached a page or signed up. Without it we are paying for ads and guessing at what they did.

The pixel is run by Meta, and it sets cookies including _fbp. What Meta does with it is covered by their privacy policy. This is a separate tick from analytics, so you can say yes to one and no to the other, and saying no to this one changes nothing about the site.

Changing your mind

Reopen the notice anytime with Manage consent at the bottom left of any page, or Cookie settings in the footer on the homepage. Turn either of them off there and we stop collecting straight away.

Cookies are only part of it. Our privacy notice covers everything else we hold and how to get it back or deleted.
